lil bit of an intro...

My friends call me rockstar and my first ever tattoo I got done was the word 'rockstar.'

It symbolizes the type of person I want to embody. The type of person who is unabashedly and unapologetically themself. I've always been drawn to people who show up in that way. I am a reserved person and have always had this quiet confidence about myself. But in music, I become the fire. Some may call it an alter ego, but that person I show up as is who I am to my core. I just preserve that part of myself because it's so special to me. It's artistic separation. I have to separate myself from who I am as an artist (separating the art from the artist). When I am in that, what I like to call my "rockstar state" it's my way of revealing more of who I am because I don't get to show that side of myself all of the time.

shooting the music video was the most invigorating experience. When I met with Ana to discuss visuals for the song, I said I want the video to make people feel uncomfortable and unsettled. I am so grateful to Ana for wanting to explore and be experimental. I'm drawn to art that strikes a chord in me. The only way to expand is to feel uncomfortable.

I love weird. I love the uncanny. I love the unearthly.
